Roomer Terms & Conditions

1. Definitions

"Roomer" means a user who lists hotel room space for sharing on the Platform.

"Moocher" means a user who requests to stay in shared room space.

"Platform" means the RoomMooch website and services.

2. Listing Requirements

• You must have a valid hotel booking to list on the Platform.
• All listing information must be accurate and truthful.
• You must have the right to share the accommodation.
• You must comply with the hotel's policies regarding guests.

3. Verification Fee

A one-time verification fee of $0.99 USD is required to create listings. This fee is non-refundable and covers identity verification processing.

4. Card Authorization

By providing your payment card, you authorize RoomMooch to:

• Verify your card is valid (no charge)
• Process charges for verified damage claims by Moochers
• Hold funds as security deposit if required

5. Liability

• You are responsible for ensuring your listing is accurate.
• You are responsible for any damage caused by Moochers during their stay.
• RoomMooch is not liable for disputes between Roomers and Moochers.
• You agree to indemnify RoomMooch against claims arising from your listing.

6. Cancellation Policy

• You may cancel a confirmed booking at any time.
• Repeated cancellations may result in account suspension.
• No refund of verification fee upon cancellation.

7. Prohibited Activities

• Discrimination based on race, gender, religion, or other protected characteristics.
• Listing spaces you don't have the right to share.
• Providing false or misleading information.
• Facilitating illegal activities.

8. Dispute Resolution

Disputes between Roomers and Moochers should first be resolved directly. If unresolved, RoomMooch may mediate but is not obligated to do so. Final disputes are subject to binding arbitration.

9. Account Termination

RoomMooch reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account for violation of these terms, fraudulent activity, or at our sole discretion.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
